I founded this law firm with a special mission: to provide legal support to people who do not view themselves as business owners. I saw how many were being taken advantage of and wanted to do my part to help them. Thus, I use my legal, business, and creative knowledge and experience to assist my clients.
As a former creative (dancer), I'm also a dance and social media law commentator. I have discussed intellectual property law as it relates to choreography and influencers on CBS, Bloomberg, The Verge and Marketplace Tech.
Curious about my professional background? I received my J.D. from Duke Law School and B.A. in Psychology and French (with a minor in Pre-Business Studies), cum laude, from NYU. I am admitted to practice in New York and am an active member of some amazing organizations, including the Black Entertainment Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA) and NYSBA. I am also multilingual (French and Haitian Creole).
I look forward to learning more about you and your business!
Merlyne Jean-Louis, Esq.
